Our quickly growing landscape design company is seeking a part-time Assistant Project Manager. The primary function of this role will be to assist in managing and executing landscape design and install projects throughout Fairfield County, and occasionally Westchester and New York City.

Responsibilities/Duties

Job functions will include:

  • Assisting lead landscape designer with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and installation of projects
  • Coordinating with wholesale nurseries, subcontractors, and other third party vendors to ensure cohesive and smooth execution of projects
  • On-site pre-planning work including meeting with clients and homeowners, photography, documenting, note-taking, and measuring job sites
  • On-site work to oversee the proper installation of plant material according to design plan
  • Occasional trips to nurseries to identify and tag specimen plant material
  • Remote work as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Must be passionate about creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces
  • Must have a working knowledge of plant material
  • Must have the ability to occasionally move, or assist in moving, heavy plant material
  • Must not be afraid to get your hands dirty
  • Must drive, experience driving a pickup truck a plus

  • Part time, approx. 20+ hours/week
  • Salary commensurate with experience
