Compensation: $75k-$99k+ annually (base)
Town & Gardens, Ltd. is an award-winning, comprehensive landscape design–build–maintain firm serving New York City since 1995. Our team brings together landscape architects, designers, horticulturists, arborists, and irrigation/lighting specialists. We design, build, and care for high-end urban gardens, terraces, and outdoor spaces — from concept through installation and ongoing maintenance — giving clients peace of mind at every step.
The Account Management team develops long-term relationships with our maintenance clients, delivering best-in-class service and consultative sales for planting, enhancements, and ongoing care. You’ll own a client portfolio, lead site walks, generate proposals, and partner closely with field teams to deliver beautiful urban gardens.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Build trusted relationships with a portfolio of high-end residential and/or commercial clients; provide responsive, proactive service.
- Lead regular site walkthroughs with clients and Crew Leaders; translate observations into actionable maintenance/enhancement proposals with photos and simple visuals.
- Prepare and present proposals; manage pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales goals.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Operations and field teams so crews have the right scope, materials, and timing to succeed.
- Resolve client concerns quickly and positively; follow through to ensure satisfaction.
- Become proficient in our software suite and core productivity tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Google Workspace) to maintain accurate client, vendor, and job records.
- Proactively surface seasonal enhancement ideas that elevate design intent and plant performance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2+ years in urban landscape/ornamental horticulture in a supervisory capacity or related industry with client-facing responsibility.
- Strong plant knowledge, urban garden maintenance best practices, and an eye for detail. Degree/certification in horticulture or landscape design/management preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through, comfortable juggling multiple sites and deadlines.
- Ability to positively connect with field staff including on-site coaching of best horticultural/urban landscape maintenance practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop and/or Google SketchUp is a plus.
