Start Date: February to December Compensation: $30/hr - $35/hr
To learn and assist with the daily tasks required of a Senior Project Manager. Co-coordinating all job-related deliveries, materials, internal staff, sub-contractors, general contractors, etc. You will be responsible for assisting in scheduling, change orders, billing, and job supervision.
This position is the direct feeder to our project manager position and anticipate about 12-18 months in this role before moving to the next role.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Daily report to our nursery in Bedford Hills NY
- Technologically inclined with phones, email, and text
- Keeping and organization of job schedule
- Supervision of planting crew
- Operation of all equipment
- Completion of job-related paperwork
- All planting and related procedures
- Developing schedules in conjunction with Senior Project Manager
- Organizing labor, materials, subs. and other job-related items.
- Customer relations (listen and learn)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Extensive horticultural knowledge
- Must be able to perform all installation procedures
- Must be able to operate all job-related equipment
- Must be able to work with manpower and job budgets
- Must be able to co-ordinate all job-related deliveries, materials, sub-contractors, general contractors, etc.
- At least 3 years of landscape experience in a supervisory or crew lead position
*CDL class A, Pesticide applicators license, Nursery landscape certification. Any are a plus but not required
Additional Information
Job is located in Bedford Hills NY, about an hour north of NYC. Daily reporting to the nursery at 6:45am is required.
We are a ecologically progressive firm and work in a wide range of locations so there can be instances of overnights as needed, but there is no requirement of this.
