Compensation: 50,000

Greenery NYC, a Brooklyn-based botanical design and installation company, is looking for a full-time Business Development team member to join our office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.


  • Research and identify prospective accounts and industries that would benefit from Greenery’s botanical design and maintenance services.
  • Work to improve brand recognition and visibility in the industry
  • Find, create, develop, and nurture new business relationships
  • Conducting high volume prospecting to find, create, and qualify leads through calls, emails, social media, Linkedin and marketing events
  • Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
  • Schedule introduction calls for Associates and Executives with the goal in mind to create a Qualified Opportunity.
  • Research the latest in the industry and create new opportunities to grow business
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business

Business Development Rep Qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter with dedication to hitting goals
  • At least one year professional work experience required
  • Experience/exposure to high level clientele, and understanding the challenges of the Finance function within a company is a bonus
  • High adaptability; strong listening, communication and writing skills
  • Determination to hit high volume prospecting activities, meetings and revenue goals; exemplifying a “get it done” attitude with the ability to grow and learn on the job
  • Team player attitude, working together with the Sales and Executive teams to establish and share successful prospecting strategies
  • Open minded, ability to think outside the box to get in touch with prospects and set meetings 
  • Phone-first mind set = ready to cold call and book meetings daily


  • Clear communicator - speak and write eloquently
  • 2+ years of successful B2B Inside Sales Experience
  • 2+ years utilizing a CRM (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • 1+ years experience working collaboratively with a Sales Team in an appointment setting capacity
  • Great understanding of social media tools and vehicles including LinkedIn, Meta, Blogs and monitoring tools
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in identifying decision makers
  • Strong research skills
  • Experience selling professional services a plus (marketing, consulting, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of lead-generation and marketing methods
  • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients

Pay: $50,000 per year plus commission
