 Compensation: $30-$35 per hour

Town and Gardens, Ltd. is seeking a proactive, hands-on Crew Leader to join our maintenance team. At Town and Gardens, a Crew Leader is more than a driver—you are a teacher to your team, a steward of our resources, and an ambassador for our brand. Responsibilities/Duties

Your Impact:

  • Direct Daily Operations: Take ownership of your assigned route, directing crew activities to ensure every garden meets our high standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor Your Team: Act as a teacher in the field. You will share your horticultural skills and professional judgment with crew members to help them grow and succeed.
  • Represent the Firm: Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, property managers, and the public, promoting a positive image of Town and Gardens at every site.
  • Manage Assets: Keep your assigned vehicle, tools, and materials organized and ready for action. You are responsible for tracking inventory and ensuring accurate time records for your team.
  • Problem-Solve: Identify on-site challenges and work with Account Managers to find effective, timely solutions.
  • Stay Connected: Use Aspire, Outlook, and Google Drive to document work, manage schedules, and maintain clear communication with the office.

Qualifications/Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in urban landscape maintenance or installation.
  • Driving Skills: A valid NYS driver’s license with a clean record and the ability to navigate box trucks safely through NYC.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong ornamental plant knowledge and familiarity with pesticide application (Apprentice, Technician, or Applicator level preferred).
  • Reliability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform physical labor (lifting up to 50 lbs) in all New York weather conditions.
  • Leadership Mindset: A positive attitude and the ability to foster a collaborative, disciplined work environment.
