Delivery Van Driver

Compensation: $28-34/hr
We are seeking a full-time Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating New York City traffic and be committed to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
About Us: Halsted Welles Associates is a well-established New York City garden design and build firm. We are a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers, and horticulturalists, specializing in high-end rooftop, terrace, and townhouse gardens. We pride ourselves on excellence in design, installation, and maintenance.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles in NYC, primarily Manhattan
- Load and unload landscape and construction materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Follow company vehicle safety policies and NYC commercial vehicle regulations
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Communicate effectively with team members and office staff
Qualifications/Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Experience driving in NYC and familiarity with street locations
- Agreeable disposition and ability to work well with others
- High energy and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to carry loads up and down stairs
- Knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and defensive driving
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with gardening or landscaping tools
- Familiarity with plants, construction and carpentry equipment
- Report writing
- Inventory control
