Compensation: $62,500-$72,500 per year
Town and Gardens, Ltd. is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our award-winning team, working with our Account Managers and Designers to transform ideas into compelling visual representations and marketing content. This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who wants to see their designs come to life in the most challenging and prestigious urban environments. From planting plans to digital media, you’ll help communicate our vision to clients and elevate our brand. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape our aesthetics and share in the firm's success through performance-based incentives tied to revenue development.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Visual Storytelling: Collaborate with Account Managers and the Design Team to develop stunning presentation materials. You will create planting, lighting, and irrigation plans, elevations, and high-quality renderings that win client trust.
- Precision Documentation: Conduct site visits to capture the "bones" of a project. You will prepare accurate base maps for new designs and create "as-built" drawings that document our completed transformations.
- Brand Ambassador: Create engaging digital content and marketing materials. You will be a "salesperson" for the firm’s excellence, showcasing our work through visuals that capture the spirit of Town and Gardens.
- Logistics & Coordination: Assist with the vital "behind-the-scenes" work—obtaining vendor quotes, purchasing materials, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Project Support: Help manage the moving parts of smaller projects by coordinating deliveries and schedules, ensuring a seamless handoff from the design phase to the field crew.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Technical Artistry: Proficiency in design and visual software. Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred; experience with Vectorworks or similar CAD software is a major plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong visual and written communication skills with great attention to detail—you understand that every line on a plan represents a real-world commitment.
- Agility: The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative office and field environment.
- Field Readiness: You are comfortable conducting on-site measurements and working outdoors when the project requires a hands-on look at the site.
