 Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience

Boutique landscape design studio, looking to connect with experienced freelance gardeners to assist on installations and perhaps maintenance, primarily in Manhattan, part-time. Would ideally like to network with freelancers looking to keep a full calendar by working around each other's schedules. Experience with proper planting methods is a must.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Punctual and dependable
• Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must pay attention to tidiness  
• A strong knowledge of plants- identifying them, planting them, identifying common problems with specific plants
• High standard of workmanship and presentation

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proficient in planting trees, shrubs and annuals
• Work well with a team to install and maintain urban gardens.
• Must work neatly and efficiently 
• Understanding structural and ornamental pruning
• Ability to provide expert garden maintenance
• Respectfulness to client's home/apartment house/jobsite 
• Clean Driver's License & ability to drive a cargo van is a plus
• Knowledge of mid-island wholesale nurseries is a plus
