Start Date: 03/01/2026 Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour
Garden Assistant needed in Bucks County, PA (1.5 hours from Manhattan 75 miles; 1hr 20 minutes from Philadelphia 55 miles) Position entails working closely with the Lead Horticulturalist at Linden Hill Nursery.
Responsibilities/Duties
Position entails working closely with the Lead Horticulturalist at Linden Hill Nursery. This will be a position that will work closely with the Lead Horticulturalist in maintaining the display gardens as well as production growing of plant material and assisting in pulling plants for the landscape division and Linden Hill Nursery customers. This position will entail working Saturdays in season as well as some Saturdays out of season.
- planting, weeding, mulching, pruning in the display beds at Linden Hill
- inventory of the display gardens
- labeling if needed in the display gardens
- pulling plant orders for JFGD and LHN
- plant production responsibilities of potting up, propagation, watering
- hand watering when needed of all container plants
- assisting Head Horticulturalist with sales when needed
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years gardening experience
- Some experience around heavy machinery
