We are a boutique landscape design, build, and maintenance firm located in the heart of New York City. Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and health of our clients' outdoor spaces. From manicured gardens to sprawling rooftop oases, you will work closely with our design and maintenance teams to ensure that every plant thrives and every landscape flourishes.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Perform routine garden maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, and mulching.
  • Monitor plant health and identify any pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
  • Execute planting plans according to design specifications, ensuring proper spacing, depth, and care.
  • Assist in the installation of new landscapes.
  • Operate and maintain garden tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture.
  • Strong knowledge of plant species, their care requirements, and common pests and diseases.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
  • A commitment to safety and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field.
  • Experience working in urban environments or with rooftop gardens.
  • Familiarity with sustainable gardening practices
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Drivers license
