 Compensation: $25-30/hr

Flexible/Part-Time Freelance Gardener position available for maintenance and installation of interior and exterior gardens. Looking for someone fun, responsible and has a love for gardening! Hourly rate commensurate with experience $25-30/hr

Responsibilities/Duties

• Maintain multiple existing gardens by watering, pruning, weeding, fertilizing and cleaning
• Install landscape elements such as plants, soil and drainage, planters, irrigation and lighting systems
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients
• Keep records of visits and alert supervisor of issues with plants and garden when working independently
• Maintain tools and equipment

Qualifications/Requirements

• Flexible/Part-Time Freelance Schedule
• 1+ year(s) of horticultural experience
• Dependable, punctual, motivated, positive attitude and have a love for gardening!
• Good working knowledge of local plant material
• Familiarity of pest management and troubleshooting plant health or other garden issues
• Ability to follow instructions and to take initiative 
• Comfortable with using garden hand tools and some basic power tools
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and willing to work in inclement weather
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive in NYC if needed
• Proof of COVID vaccination
