Responsibilities/Duties

What You’ll Be Doing (Depending on Role)

  • Maintaining high-end urban gardens through all seasons: planting, pruning, fertilizing, cutbacks, cleanups, and garden openings/closings
  • Installing plants, trees, shrubs, irrigation, and landscape lighting with care and precision
  • Preparing and maintaining job sites, including soil prep, mulching, watering-in, and cleanup
  • Monitoring plant health, irrigation performance, and site conditions, and communicating issues proactively
  • Working closely with supervisors, leads, and designers to execute design intent in the field
  • Supporting safe, efficient workflows and contributing to a positive team culture
  • For senior roles: managing crews, coordinating schedules, overseeing quality and safety, reviewing drawings, and ensuring projects are executed on time and on budget

Experience & Qualifications

  • Entry to senior-level experience considered, depending on role
  • Professional gardening or installation experience in NYC strongly preferred
  • Strong plant knowledge and interest in design and aesthetics a plus
  • Familiarity with irrigation and lighting systems helpful
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb stairs, and work outdoors year-round
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for applicable roles
  • Authorization to work in the United States
