Start Date: June 2, 2025 Compensation: $30/hr
Field Studies is a floral design studio which aims to showcase the oft-overlooked flora that grows alongside us, prioritizing working with local and foraged flora. We believe the path forward is one of collaboration with the natural world and we aim to awaken others to the beauty that surrounds us.
We are excited to carry our mission into a handful of gardening projects in 2025 and are in need of a knowledgeable garden project manager who can help us establish this arm of the studio. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and knowledgeable gardener who is able to clearly communicate their knowledge to our team.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Consulting with our creative director on best planting options for multiple projects
- Ordering and scheduling delivery from local nurseries within a 200 mile radius
- Managing the garden installs and maintenance
- Overseeing a group of freelance gardeners
Qualifications/Requirements
- Has experience in urban gardening and can clearly communicate said knowledge around plants, care and resources
- Strong understanding of native plantings as well as responsible and mindful processes for urban gardening
- Strong understanding of the wholesale plant market
- Detail oriented yet efficient
- Strong teaching skills
- Comfortable working independently or with a team and outside in an urban environment
