Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
We design, install, and maintain stunning interior plantscapes and provide exquisite floral arrangements for a diverse clientele across New York City. As a Greenery Designer, you will be a key member of our creative team, responsible for the design and development of our interior plantscape and floral projects. You will work directly with clients to understand their objectives, develop compelling design proposals, and collaborate with our installation teams to bring your visions to life. This role requires strong design skills, horticultural knowledge, excellent client communication, and a deep understanding of how to create impactful living environments within unique NYC spaces.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Design and execute stunning weekly floral arrangements for a portfolio of dedicated clients.
- Create compelling and insightful indoor plant & floral designs that align with client budgets and goals, and collaborate with the design team and contractors to review, execute, and install the designs.
- Build and nurture client relationships, guiding projects through all phases—from initial concept to final implementation—ensuring designs meet and exceed expectations.
- Manage all project logistics, including cost estimation, sourcing, procurement of plants and materials, and scheduling for timely delivery.
- Lead on-site installations with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless execution that aligns with design plans and enhances the overall aesthetic impact.
- Oversee the ongoing horticultural care of installations, developing maintenance plans and specifying adjustments or replacements to ensure long-term plant health and design integrity.
- Identify and integrate new materials, products, and techniques to push creative boundaries and refine project outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing skills and knowledge to help them excel in their roles.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in floral, greenery, landscape, or interior plant design, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities, capable of translating ideas into compelling design solutions.
- Experience with sourcing materials and managing project budgets in a creative environment.
- A collaborative mindset with experience working as part of a design team.
- Proficiency in image editing software, including Photoshop, is preferred. Experience with CAD and modeling tools is a plus.
