Start Date: 6/13/22  Compensation: $24+ per hour

New York Premiere Landscapes, a division of New York Decks, is seeking experienced, self-motivated, and knowledgeable Horticulturist / Urban Gardeners to join our landscape team. Ideal candidates must have NYC landscape experience and be able to use their knowledge to assess and execute a variety of tasks for a diverse range of residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Actively Serves as part of a horticultural team working in the daily horticultural tasks in the exterior gardens and interior spaces under instruction of filed managers and the director of horticulture
• Supports overall plant health and soil nutrition strategies for all gardens to include sustainable gardening practices and integrated pest management
• Perform horticultural maintenance, such as pruning, fertilizing, and planting.
• Assist Landscape architect with plant procurement and nursery runs
• Report to manager(s) about recommendations for garden improvements

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience as horticulturist
• Demonstrated knowledge of plants
• Ability to use Microsoft office suite efficiently
• Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license
