Hours: 20-30+ hours/week
Location: NYC and surrounding areas 
Compensation: $20-28/hour, commensurate with experience  

Responsibilities/Duties

• Conveying green roof materials, planters, soils, and plants to site
• Cutting and fitting green roof build-up materials: root barriers, drainage layers, filter fabric, edging, etc.
• Assisting with installation of irrigation systems
• Conveying and installing pavers, furniture, pergolas, etc.
• Installing and grading soil
• Installing trees, shrubs, perennials, plugs, and seeds
• Watering, job site clean-up

Qualifications/Requirements

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, hard-working individuals who are interested in helping with installing green roofs, rooftop gardens, and occasional grade-level projects. Opportunity for more hours and to assist with Maintenance of existing sites will be considered based on performance and availability. This field crew position will assist on a variety of live installations throughout NYC. Interested individuals should be able to use public transportation and/or provide their own transportation and must have a flexible schedule from Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm. Experience with plants, soils, construction, irrigation, and/or landscaping is highly desired. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly, work with various ladders and lifts, and work in all weather conditions. OSHA certification is preferred.
