Start Date: ASAP  Compensation: $65k–$85k/year

We are excited to announce an opening for an Installation Lead at The Old Yew. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee and execute residential and commercial plant installations, landscape renovations, and interior and exterior green space transformations throughout New York City and beyond.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Lead installation crews on all exterior landscape and interior plantscape projects.
  • Interpret design plans and direct the layout of plantings and containers.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, and logistics for each site visit.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, designers, and the retail, operations and maintenance teams.
  • Oversee plant & planter placement, soil installation, irrigation connection, and cleanup.
  • Ensure installations are executed safely, on time, and to design specifications.
  • Maintain accountability for materials, vehicles, equipment, and inventory.
  • Maintain daily reports and communicate site progress to the office.
  • Provide hands-on installation support alongside team members.
  • Train and mentor crew on best practices and SOPs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in landscape installation, garden design/maintenance, or a related field.
  • Proven leader with experience leading teams in fast-paced urban environments.
  • Expert knowledge of interior and exterior plant material, soils, and container planting.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and basic irrigation components.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive commercial vehicles and box trucks. CDL not required.
