THE POSITION
We’re searching for energetic, motivated individuals who share a genuine passion for nature and want to help shape outdoor spaces that support thriving, balanced ecosystems. We are currently hiring a Seasonal Installation Team Member for March–December 2026.

In addition to installation and maintenance work, this role will occasionally support mechanical invasive‑plant removal and general park stewardship as part of an ongoing public park restoration project. These specific restoration hours—up to 20 days between May and October—are compensated at the New Jersey Prevailing Wage of $94.03 per hour.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience, curiosity, and a desire to grow. They think creatively, solve problems independently, and collaborate well within a team. A demonstrated interest in horticulture, ecological restoration, and native plant communities is especially valuable.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Safely operate trucks, trailers, and skid steers
  • Install plant material with precision and care
  • Perform mulching, soil moving, and bed preparation
  • Prune shrubs and small trees to maintain plant health and structure
  • Conduct thorough weeding and site clean‑ups
  • Use hand tools and power tools responsibly and efficiently
  • Assist with natural stone masonry and hardscape installation

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in landscape construction
  • Strong working knowledge of annuals, perennials, ornamental grasses, trees, and shrubs
  • Understanding of proper plant care, handling, and maintenance practices
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 65+ lbs throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasonal conditions—summer heat, early‑spring and late‑fall cold, and light rain
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Reliable personal transportation to job sites across NJ and NY preferred
