 Compensation: $20-$29/hr

Join our installations team building best-in-class urban gardens. You’ll learn to install planters, engineered soil mixes, drip irrigation, low-voltage lighting, and paver/pedestal systems while working safely and efficiently at NYC sites.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with layout, assembly, and installation of planters, liners, drainage fabrics, and engineered soils.
  • Pull wire and place fixtures for low-voltage landscape lighting; support drip irrigation installation and testing.
  • Set pavers on pedestals, level surfaces, and help with hauling construction materials, debris and cleanup.
  • Handle materials safely and cleanly (plant material, planters, soil); use dollies/carts and protection to carefully and cleanly move through buildings.
  • Keep tools and work areas clean; follow safety protocols and Crew Leader direction

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 0–2 years’ experience in landscape construction or related trades (carpentry, irrigation, electrical, masonry) — we will train.
  • Comfort using hand/power tools and reading a tape to 1/16".
  • Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude; ability to work outside and on rooftops/terraces and in all weather conditions
  • A passion for creating beautiful spaces and hunger to learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to travel via public transit; a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.
  • OSHA certification a plus
