We design, install and maintain landscapes all over the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We're a team that’s been around for 50 years and plan to be around for another 50! Our Sales & Design team is looking to hire a Landscape Designer. This role will fulfill all departmental needs with projects, product development, floral production and creative sales! The Landscape Designer will support all lines of business: Indoor, Outdoor, Holiday and Projects.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Work directly with the Design Manager to develop design concepts and product lines for Indoor, Outdoor and Holiday departments
- Familiar with all tropical plants common to the industry
- Accompany Account Managers and Sales Representatives to review/initiate design ideas for new and existing clients
- Conduct quality control on all products and rotations, and provide installation assistance at job sites
- Track color and market trends, and create boards/presentation materials for company reference
- Develop renderings from Design Manager's concept sketches and adjust them upon review
- Act as a liaison to any John Mini department or client seeking design assistance
- Attend internal meetings, networking events and training sessions
- Assist Design team as well as BD Manager and VP of Sales and Design as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree in Landscape Design or related fields preferred
- Strong horticultural and floral technical knowledge
- 2+ years experience in plant/floral design
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Lumion and AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Superior organizational skills
