Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Start Date: 03/13/2023  Compensation: $25.00-$35.00

  • Manage all activities on the job site including assigning tasks to crew members in order to meet or exceed quality standards within budget.
  • Monitor all tools and equipment ensuring all safety guards are in place, any damage or repairs are communicated and removed from service when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site.
  • Ensure all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow company and industry safety standards.
  • Follow direction from the Production Manager.
  • Effectively communicate well with all crew members, supervisor, and client.
  • Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately as needed using company IT
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site.
  • Perform and document DOT circle checks daily
  • Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are in trailer(s), truck and equipment is fueled and materials disposed of at night
  • Actively participate in safety and training with all crew members in accordance with company standards. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
  • Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Able to drive truck with trailer 
  • 2+ years landscape industry experience.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Proficient with landscape tools and equipment
  • Driver’s license with DOT Card and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of basic landscape trees, plants and materials.
  • Self starting motivated individual who is detail oriented.
  • Verbal & written communication skills.
  • Time Management and ability to work long hours.
  • Able to prioritize and multitask.
  • Clean and Professional appearance.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus.
