Start Date: 4/1/2026  Compensation: $25/hr

Sacred Roots Nursery & Landscaping is looking for a talented Lead Gardener for gardening and general landscaping for work in Fairfield and New Haven Counties in CT. 

Responsibilities/Duties

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for interacting with clients and must have a friendly and warm personality to engage with clients from time to time.
• Work includes Gardening: weeding, pruning, trimming, pest and disease identification, potting up plants in the nursery and plant identification.
• Landscape work includes: Mowing, weed whacking with a string trimmer, leaf blowing, planting and digging.

Qualifications/Requirements

• The ideal Candidate will have a strong ID and Plant Knowledge of plants, trees and shrubs. A Degree in the horticulture fields is preferred or prior experience in this field is a must. If no degree then the equivalent of at least 3 years experience working in the Plant Sciences or Landscape/Gardening field is ok. Please have at least 3 strong references.
• Must have a valid drivers license, 18 years old or older and be a legal resident. A background check, drug test and clean drivers record is required.
• Pay is commensurate with experience and starts at $25/hr.
