Compensation: $80,000-$85,000

Little Island seeks a Manager of Park Administration to join the team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Park Administration is accountable for the administrative functions of the Operations department, which includes the Horticulture, Facilities and Maintenance, and Park Operations teams. Oversight includes but is not limited to, operating and capital budget development, refinement of park staffing models, hiring and training systems, staffing schedule, storage, ordering and work order systems, implementation and tracking of safety plans, vendor contracts and management, utility and IT services, capital maintenance project support. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of park and/or facility operations and the entrepreneurialism to spearhead the implementation of a high-quality maintenance plan for a dynamic public space. They are a strong project manager and systems-thinker who is excited to contribute to a new and evolving outdoor environment. Responsibilities/Duties

Departmental Systems

  • Oversee and manage the administration of a comprehensive operating plan for a 2.4 acre park, ensuring organizational efficiency across the Horticulture, Facilities and Maintenance, and Park Operations teams
  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, develop departmental systems and strategy, holding the vision of the department and implementing systems that work in service to this vision
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of Little Island’s safety plan, which includes: Overseeing the implementation of security systems and safety protocols for Little Island park and other related facilities; Collaborating with other park managers on safety training and tracking for park-based staff; Facilitation of safety committee meetings\Oversee tracking and reporting of safety metrics
  • Oversee and maintain all IT and access systems for the park
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Horticulture, Maintenance Supervisor, and Park Operations Manager to ensure consistent administration of systems across departments
  • Manage or support capital projects (contracting, scheduling, and delegating) as assigned

Departmental Staffing

  • Supervise the department Coordinators and Associates, collaborating on the execution of all park operations systems, personnel practices, and special projects.
  • Champion all Employee Experience policies and protocols, and incorporate them into the park staffing structure and processes
  • Partner with the Employee Experience department on the onboarding and offboarding of new park-based employees
  • Manage and refine the scheduling and staffing plan for park-based employees in conjunction with the Director of Operations

Departmental Budgeting

  • Support the Director of Operations on the creation and tracking of the departmental and capital maintenance budgets
  • Other duties and tasks related to the park and its operations as assigned
