About Us

We are not your average design, build and landscaping company. We prioritize native plants and specialize in edible, sustainable, and biodiverse gardens across Essex and Bergen Counties in New Jersey and Manhattan in NYC.

The Position

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated Design Assistant with a passion for nature to help us create thriving and ecologically balanced landscapes.

We're a growing company and looking for team members who can grow with us. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to stay on the team long-term. The ideal applicant will be able to work full-time, but part-time applicants will be considered. This position will be split between administrative tasks and landscape design. The ideal candidates are experienced with office administration and landscape design, and have some familiarity with ornamental plants. Training will be provided.

This is a hybrid position that will require regular travel to Teaneck, NJ, and surrounding towns. Time spent in the field will vary seasonally, with more office work in the winter. 

$20-27/hr, depending on experience.

Responsibilities/Duties

:

  • Creating client presentations.
  • Building estimates and proposals for landscape projects.
  • Assisting in the field with measuring and site planning.
  • Supervising jobsites to ensure accurate installation of designs.
  • Communicating with clients in a professional manner.
  • Assisting with landscape design projects using Dynascapes.

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Experience with office administration.
  • Experience/interest in landscape design.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Working knowledge of ornamental plants.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Quickbooks.
  • Experience with CAD software (SketchUp, Vectorworks, Dynascapes, etc).
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus..
  • Interest in gardening.
