Matthew Placek Inc. is a boutique landscape company specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of high-end residential gardens in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Our work is detail-driven, fast-paced, and held to a high aesthetic and service standard.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to bring structure, organization, and consistency to our day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Manage daily and weekly scheduling of field teams
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries, and site logistics
  • Serve as the communication link between Owner and crews
  • Maintain and organize all client and job information using company systems
  • Oversee invoicing preparation and client contract tracking
  • Identify inefficiencies and help improve workflows

Systems & Tools

  • Daily use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
  • Use of Slack for all client details, job communication, and internal coordination
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records across all platforms

Qualifications/Requirements

This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing logistics, supporting field teams, and maintaining operational systems. You will work directly with the Owner to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts with professionalism and focus.
