Start Date: Oct 14  Compensation: $25-$28 per hour

We are a Brooklyn-based gardening company searching for a part-time gardener to join our team. The position is for 3 days a week,Tu/We/Th, beginning this month.

The ideal candidate shares our love of all things gardening! We're looking for a gardener that has experience in both installing and maintaining urban gardens both independently and with the direction of a garden supervisor.

Our specialty is the design and installation of both residential and commercial gardens, including rooftops, terraces, inground, container gardens, and common spaces. We also have many maintenance contracts so we get to know quite a few of the gardens well. 

Responsibilities/Duties

• Installations: load in, prepare beds and/or planters, plant according to design plans, clean up, and load out
• Maintenance: prune, weed, trim, divide, transplant, swap out seasonal plantings, and clean up existing gardens

Qualifications/Requirements

• Professional gardening in urban settings, 2 years minimum
• Ability to lift 50+ lb
• Willingness to work in inclement weather
• Hardscaping/carpentry/construction experience is a plus
• Irrigation experience is a plus
• Driver’s license is a plus
