Start Date: Mid-March  Compensation: $25-$35/hour

Bluestar Gardens is a boutique garden design and maintenance firm servicing residential and commercial clients in the NYC area. We are looking for a hardworking, responsible individual to join our crew on a part-time (3 days/week, with the potential for more) basis.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Arrive punctually
• Perform all routine and seasonal maintenance tasks, including weeding, deadheading, pruning, sweeping, blowing, raking, and debris removal 
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage a physically demanding workload 
• Effectively communicate with team members, and inform supervisors of any concerns with plant health, or other site conditions
• Perform work efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Maintain a positive team culture
• Uphold company standards, and maintain a respectful demeanor with crew, supervisors, and clients

Qualifications/Requirements

• Punctual, dependable with good communication and time management skills
• Attention to detail, friendly and hardworking
• Good knowledge of plant identification
• Able to lift 50lbs and work in all kinds of weather 
• Must be able to take direction and problem solve
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle a physically demanding weekly schedule 
• Professional, courteous and detail-oriented
• Some formal training preferred, but not required
