Sales & Marketing Manager – Native Plant Nursery (Round House Center for Ecological Gardens)
Location: Wilton, CT (06897)
Salary: $75,000–$88,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Position Type: Full-Time
About Us
The Round House Center for Ecological Gardens is an emerging nonprofit ecological initiative in Wilton, Connecticut, dedicated to ecological land stewardship, native plant conservation, and community education.
Our work is based on the grounds of the Round House, an architecturally significant landmark whose surrounding landscapes have been developed over the past 15 years with Darrel Morrison, a pioneer of Ecological Landscape Design. The property now serves as the setting for a growing ecological center focused on native plants, sustainable gardening, and public engagement. As part of our mission, we are launching a native plant nursery to expand regional access to native plants and support the Center’s long-term ecological and educational goals. 2026 will be our first operational year, and this is an exciting, foundational time to join us. As the Center grows, there is the potential for this position to evolve into a broader leadership role.
Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead the nursery’s early outreach, customer engagement, and public-facing communications. This role is central to establishing our presence in the regional ecological and horticultural community, building relationships with landscapers and designers, and shaping how the public learns about and accesses native plants through our work. The Manager will collaborate closely with the Nursery Production Manager and our Botanist, ensuring that sales materials and communications reflect scientific accuracy, ecological values, and seasonal realities. Over time, as the organization expands its programs and operations, this position may take on greater responsibility and organizational leadership.
