Summer Design Intern - Future Green

(Paid Opportunities) Return to Paid Opportunities

Start Date: 06/01/2026  Compensation: $800/week + $1,000/month rental stipend

Dynamic landscape architecture and urban design firm in Brooklyn with a diverse portfolio and a commitment to sustainable practices is seeking summer interns (8-week duration) who are passionate, hard-working, and highly skilled.  Must be pursuing degree in Landscape Architecture and be proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite as well as 3D Modeling / Rendering programs.

The practice of making models in landscape architecture can be both generative and representational.  Designing with natural materials – stone, trees, perennials – inevitably translates into models that experiment with texture, color, plasticity, form, and structure. We encourage the tension at play between the exuberant material exploration of the maquette and realized form of a representational model, between the tactile processes of the analog and boundless realm of the digital.

This summer’s internship at Future Green will be a deep dive into the practice of model-making, working on both study models for upcoming opportunities and representational models of current projects.  Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in sculpture, model making and material exploration and should be equally comfortable working in analog and digital environments, possessing strong 3D model building skills working in Rhino 3D.
