 Compensation: $57K-$71K per year

Westchester County's Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation is seeking a full time Tree Climber/Pruner. The Tree Climber/Pruner is responsible for the maintenance, pruning, trimming, and felling of mature trees. 
Benefits package includes medical, dental, pension plan, tuition reimbursement & paid overtime when necessary 
Rotating Shifts - may be required to work weekends, holidays depending on emergencies 

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School or equivalency diploma & 4 years work experience or 6 years work experience 
• MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF TREE CLIMBING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
• Good knowledge of the practices, materials, & methods used in tree felling, trimming, & surgery.
• Ability to climb using ropes and work at considerable height under dangerous conditions.
• Ability to operate machinery such as chainsaws, bucket trucks, brush chippers, & stump grinders.
• Must possess & maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
