Start Date: 3/16/2026 Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Tree Crew Supervisor to lead field operations for municipal tree pruning projects under city contract in Queens and Brooklyn. This position is responsible for overseeing daily crew performance, ensuring safety compliance, meeting work order deadlines, and maintaining quality standards.

This is a leadership role for a safety-focused professional with strong urban forestry experience and the ability to manage crews in a fast-paced municipal environment. The contract term for this work spans multiple seasons, offering steady municipal work for three years and opportunity to remain with the company once completed.

Responsibilities/Duties

Supervise and direct tree crews performing: Block pruning, Tree and limb removal, Branch and stump removal and disposal
Ensure all work orders are completed on schedule and to standards
Coordinate daily operations
Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety policies
Conduct and document tailgate safety meetings
Monitor work quality
Communicate field progress, delays, weather impacts, and operational issues
Ensure crews follow all applicable federal, state, and NYC regulations and permits
Maintain required documentation

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience in tree care
Prior crew leadership or foreman/supervisor experience preferred
Ability to manage crews, equipment, and production targets
Strong knowledge of urban tree safety and traffic/public protection
Knowledge of NYC municipal tree work standards
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work outdoors in all weather condition throughout Brooklyn and Queens
